Climate Pledge Arena Bag Policy: Kraken Games & Concerts
The Climate Pledge Arena bag policy allows one bag, clear or not, up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches (35.6 x 35.6 x 15.2 cm), or one small clutch, purse or wallet up to 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches (10.2 x 15.2 x 3.8 cm). Bags larger than a clutch undergo X-ray screening. Check the arena’s bag policy and your event page before you go.
Climate Pledge Arena bag rules at a glance:
- Bag size: 14 x 14 x 6 inches maximum.
- Clutch size: 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches maximum.
- Bags per person: 1 bag or 1 clutch, purse or wallet.
- Pockets: 2 maximum for bags larger than a clutch.
- Screening: X-ray for bags larger than a clutch.
- Re-entry: Not permitted.
Climate Pledge Arena replaced KeyArena at Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington. The arena’s FAQ places the venue at the base of the Space Needle.
The arena hosts Seattle Kraken (NHL), Seattle Storm (WNBA) and Seattle Torrent (PWHL) games, plus concerts, comedy and family shows.
Does Climate Pledge Arena allow bags?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide allows one bag, clear or not, no larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches. The alternative is one clutch, purse or wallet up to 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches. Each guest chooses one option; the policy does not say you may carry both.
Both limits use width x height x depth. A clear tote measuring 12 x 12 x 6 inches leaves 2 inches of spare width and height. Its depth equals the arena’s maximum of 6 inches.

A clear bag policy is a rule requiring transparent bags. Climate Pledge Arena allows non-clear bags, so transparency is optional under the arena guide. The policy permits any material and publishes no separate restrictions on tinted, frosted or printed bags.
A clutch is a small bag carried in the hand. The Climate Pledge Arena purse policy groups small purses and wallets with clutches under the same size allowance.
Bags above clutch size have a 2-pocket maximum. The arena does not define a pocket.
The Bag Size Checker can help you compare measurements against the limit of 14 x 14 x 6 inches. Pocket count and prohibited contents still need separate attention.
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide “encourages guests to not bring a bag if possible.” A clear bag still goes through X-ray when larger than a clutch.
The allowance is one bag or one clutch, with X-ray screening for bags larger than a clutch.
Which bags are not allowed at Climate Pledge Arena?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide permits a bag within 14 x 14 x 6 inches, with a 2-pocket maximum above clutch size. The allowance covers clear and non-clear bags. Bags outside those limits do not meet the published policy.
The published limits exclude:
- Bags larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches.
- Bags above clutch size with more than 2 pockets.
- More than 1 bag, including a bag plus a separate clutch.
The prohibited items list also excludes bags, packs and luggage that do not comply with the bag policy. The arena guide does not identify bag styles as allowed or banned by name.
Guests with a backpack should confirm with Guest Services before the event, even when its dimensions and pocket count fit the published limits.
Climate Pledge Arena bag policy exceptions for medical and diaper bags
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide makes exceptions for medically necessary items and diaper/parenting bags. Those bags go through X-ray screening at designated bag lines when larger than a clutch. Their contents must comply with the arena’s size and prohibited items policies.
The Climate Pledge Arena diaper bag policy does not publish a separate size limit for these exceptions. The guide does not specify whether the exception changes size, pocket count or the one-bag allowance.
Guest Services can answer policy questions at guestinfo@climatepledgearena.com or 206-752-7200. The published exception should not be read as an unlimited bag allowance.
The arena guide and accessibility guide identify these facilities for parents:
- Baby changing tables are in All-Gender & Family Restrooms and most men’s and women’s restrooms.
- A nursing parents room on the southwest corner of the Main Concourse also has a baby changing table.
- A nursing pod is on the northeast side of the Main Concourse near Guest Services.
Both nursing spaces provide a more private place to feed or pump, according to the accessibility guide. The arena guide also allows strollers.
A stroller too large to fit under a seat must be checked at a Guest Services desk. Children aged 2 and under do not need a ticket but must share a seat with a ticketed adult. The children’s ticket policy may differ for family shows.
Does the Climate Pledge Arena bag policy change for Kraken games, Storm games and concerts?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide publishes one building-wide bag policy for games, concerts, comedy and family shows. Event detail pages can add rules for particular shows, including restrictions on water bottles and cameras. The arena guide directs guests to review those pages for event-specific prohibited items.
Seattle Kraken, Seattle Storm and Seattle Torrent games
Climate Pledge Arena’s published arena rules govern the Seattle Kraken bag policy and the Seattle Storm bag policy at this venue. The Kraken game day guide links to the arena guide. The Storm bag policy page repeats the arena’s allowance.
The arena guide lists Kraken doors opening 90 minutes before puck drop. Storm doors open 60 minutes before tipoff.
The arena’s FAQ lists Seattle Torrent games among its events, and the same arena bag policy applies to the building.
Concerts and general admission floor tickets
The three Climate Pledge Arena concert pages we checked on October 22, 2026 repeat the arena’s base bag allowance.
One bag, clear or not, may measure up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches. One clutch up to 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches is the alternative.
The Climate Pledge concert bag policy examples show why floor ticket holders need their show’s details:
- A January 2026 concert FAQ allowed reusable water bottles in all sections except the floor.
- An April 2025 concert page allowed personal water bottles on the general admission floor.
- A concert FAQ updated in 2026 prohibited water bottles on the floor. The same FAQ encouraged no bags for faster general admission entry.
Some event pages add that bottles must be empty of ice too. The April 2025 page allowed cardboard poster tubes but prohibited plastic and metal poster tubes.
Camera and merchandise rules can also change by show. Guest Services can answer questions about event-specific restrictions.
An older July 2025 concert listing specified a clear bag up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches. The arena guide updated September 28, 2026 allows clear and non-clear bags, while an event detail page can set its own rules.
What happens if your bag doesn’t meet the Climate Pledge Arena bag policy?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide says guests will be asked to return prohibited items to their car or surrender them at the doors. The guide does not list a bag check or locker service. Exit and re-entry are not permitted, so a bag problem needs resolving before you enter.
Bag check means a service that stores your bag during an event.
The guide does not explain what happens to items surrendered at the doors. It also says the arena is not responsible for belongings left on the plaza after doors open. Chairs, blankets and other items left after guests enter are cleared and not held for pickup.
The arena’s transportation page says every publicly ticketed event includes a free King County public transit pass with your ticket. The pass works from 2 hours before doors open and includes the Seattle Center Monorail.
Bus and Monorail passengers without a car at the arena cannot use the return-to-car option. A size and pocket check before leaving home is especially useful for those trips.
Climate Pledge Arena entrances: what time do doors open?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide lists doors opening 90 minutes before Kraken puck drop and 60 minutes before Storm tipoff. Door times for other events vary. The accessibility guide encourages guests to use the entrance printed on their event ticket.
The arena’s entrances page identifies these entry points:
- Entry 1: Main public entry on the southwest corner, off the Alaska Airlines Atrium, facing 1st Ave N.
- Entry 3: ADA entry on the west side.
- Entry 4: Northwest side of the West Plaza, where general admission floor ticket holders may begin lining up.
- Entry 8: Main public entry on the southeast corner, off the Alaska Airlines Atrium, facing the Seattle Center campus.

General admission floor lines at Entry 4 may start at 8:00 AM on show day, not earlier. Entry 4 is not ADA accessible; guests who need ADA access use Entry 3.
All Alaska Airlines Atrium entry doors are accessible, according to the accessibility guide. One lane at each of Entry 1 and Entry 8 is designated for guests with disabilities.
The arena guide places designated X-ray bag lines at primary entries but does not identify those entries.
Security can inspect any bag before entry. Screening may include visual checks, metal detection and X-ray bag screening.
The main entrances use walk-through scanners. Guests can walk at a natural pace without emptying their pockets unless staff direct otherwise. The arena’s Code of Conduct requires guests to follow its search and screening procedures, including the bag policy.
Can you bring food and other items into Climate Pledge Arena?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide permits empty reusable non-glass bottles up to 32 oz, collapsible umbrellas and portable phone chargers. Outside food, alcohol and other beverages are prohibited. Small non-professional cameras are allowed at most events, with restrictions on lenses and flash.
Water bottles, umbrellas and cameras
The Climate Pledge Arena water bottle policy allows reusable non-glass bottles up to 32 oz when empty at entry, according to the arena guide. Refill stations are at water fountains throughout the arena. Certain events prohibit personal bottles on the floor.
An umbrella must collapse and fit under your seat. A non-collapsible umbrella does not meet that rule.
The Climate Pledge Arena camera policy allows small non-professional cameras with fixed lenses and no external flash at most events. Some concerts and special events use different camera rules.

The arena guide prohibits these camera and recording items:
- Professional cameras, detachable lenses and external flash units.
- Action cameras and cameras with a gimbal.
- Video and audio recording devices.
- Monopods, tripods and selfie sticks.
Other permitted and prohibited items
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide allows e-readers, portable phone chargers, blankets, seat cushions and booster seats. Other permitted items have specific size or screening requirements.
- Binocular cases must be no larger than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches.
- Blankets and seat cushions must go through X-ray screening.
- Signs may measure up to 24 x 36 inches at events that permit them. They must be handheld by one person and cannot use a pole or stick.
The arena guide also prohibits:
- Laptops and tablets.
- Sealed packages of any kind.
- Chains, including wallet chains, and spiked jewelry or apparel.
- Containers outside the water bottle policy, including glass containers, cans and water bladders.
- Noisemaking devices, including whistles, air horns, vuvuzelas and cowbells.
- Laser pointers, flashlights and drones.
- Weapons and self-defense sprays.
These restrictions apply alongside the bag limits. The arena guide also identifies Climate Pledge Arena as a cashless facility.
Sensory support inside the arena
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide and accessibility guide list free sensory bags for checkout at all Guest Services desks. Each contains fidget tools and noise-cancelling headphones. These bags are loaned inside the arena and do not create an entry bag exception.
Guest Services desks are on the Main Concourse near Section 24 and on the Upper Concourse. A Sensory Room is on the northeast side of the suite level for guests who feel overstimulated.
Clear bags that fit the Climate Pledge Arena size limit
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide allows non-clear bags, so a clear bag is a choice rather than an entry requirement. Clear bags can also work at venues requiring transparent materials, subject to each venue’s size and pocket rules.
The 3 totes below fit within this arena’s limit of 14 x 14 x 6 inches. Each exceeds the clutch allowance of 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches.
The arena does not say whether a main compartment counts toward its 2-pocket maximum, so compare each tote’s pockets below with the policy and ask Guest Services if you are unsure.

For games at Seattle’s stadium, our Lumen Field bag policy guide explains that venue’s different rules.

Does Climate Pledge Arena have a clear bag policy?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide permits clear and non-clear bags up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches. The guide dated September 28, 2026 does not require transparency. An event detail page can set additional rules, so the page for your show remains part of the check.
Can I bring a purse into Climate Pledge Arena?

How strict is the Climate Pledge Arena bag policy?

Can you bring a backpack to Climate Pledge Arena?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide sets a bag limit of 14 x 14 x 6 inches, with 2 pockets maximum above clutch size. The guide does not name backpacks as allowed or banned, so confirm a backpack with Guest Services before your event.

Is there bag check at Climate Pledge Arena?
Climate Pledge Arena’s arena guide gives guests the option to return prohibited items to their car or surrender them at the doors. The guide does not list a bag check or locker service. Re-entry is not permitted, and the guide does not explain what happens to items surrendered at entry.
